An alternative to built-in soundcard
Our shortwave exciter DiRaGen needs a baseband signal (IF) with 20KHz maximum bandwidth. Due to the linear conversion principle the output signal quality is directly dependent on the baseband signal.
This signal is commonly generated by the sound card of the connected PC. But not all soundcards offer best performance for this application regarding maximum achievable signal-to-noise ratio or radio interference suppression.
With the USB DAC 48 we offer a independant solution which delivers always the best achievable performance.
We use a DAC circuit which can also be found in high-end Hi-Fi systems. Top features are absolutely flat frequency response, highest SNR and ultra-low distortion level.
The unit is automatically recognized als external USB Audio DAC (Windows 2000 and later), for optimum performance we recommend Windows Vista and later.
